Spot The Ball

27 Mar 2026 - 12 Apr 2026

Throughout the Easter school holidays, Yard Ball will be hiding their pink  footballs in strange and surprising places across Sheffield. Think parks, landmarks, unexpected corners of the city and maybe even spots you walk past every day without noticing.

If you spot one, you could win something pretty special.

Find a Yard Ball football. Win a Year of Yard Ball.

Taking part in the Yard Ball Spot The Ball competition in Sheffield couldn’t be easier:

  • Spot one of the pink balls hidden somewhere around Sheffield.
  • Take a photo of it where you found it.
  • Post it on social media and tag Yard Ball, telling them the location.

That’s it.

Every correct sighting enters you into the draw to win a whole year of free entry to Yard Ball.

Whether you’re exploring the city with the kids, walking the dog, or heading into the centre, keep your eyes peeled. Our pink balls might appear in parks, around local landmarks, or tucked away in unexpected corners of Sheffield.

It’s free to take part, easy to join in, and adds a little adventure to everyday places around the city. Think of it as a city-wide football treasure hunt, with bragging rights and a huge prize waiting at the end.

So whether you're in S8, the city centre, or exploring the parks, keep an eye out for a flash of pink. Because if you see one of our balls before anyone else does… You might just be playing Yard Ball for free all year.

Follow the Hunt

Make sure you’re following our socials so you don’t miss the clues.

Disclaimer: The pink balls are for spotting, not retrieving. Some are tucked up high or in unusual places that could be unsafe to reach. Please don’t try to climb, move things, or damage property to get them.

Just snap a photo of where you spotted it and tag Yard Ball.

Also… don’t be the person who ruins the game for everyone else. Leave the ball where it is so others can join the hunt too. Good Yard Ball karma and all that.
