Steel City Beer and Cider Festival 2026

21 Oct 2026 - 24 Oct 2026

Sheffield's original beer festival, celebrating its 50th year!

Steel City Beer and Cider Festival is back at Kelham Island Museum 21 -24 October, with another massive selection of the best beer, cider and perry, plus live music and street food.

As always, the event is organised by the Sheffield branch of CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) and staffed entirely by volunteers, who want to share their passion for good beer.

The festival features a massive selection with over 300 different drinks to choose from (all served in a commemorative glass), along with live music, street food, traditional pub games and more, in a wonderfully atmospheric venue.

Expect some special celebrations to mark their landmark 50th year too!

Additional Information

On the beer front there's usually a whole variety of styles across cask, keg, bottle and can, from the traditional styles like mild, bitter and stout right through to modern IPAs, sours and more.

On the cider and perry bar, expect proper farmhouse styles made from fermented freshly pressed apple or pear juice, with a number of small artisan producers featured as well as some well-known names.

Buying drinks
To keep things easy and secure for the volunteers and speed up service a little, the festival bars accept card payments and tokens. You can buy tokens from the token desks around the festival (they accept payment for tokens by cash or card) and the admission package includes enough to get your first drink.

Don’t worry if you don’t spend them all, they can refund up to £5 worth of unused tokens (or you can donate them to charity). Third party traders such as the food stalls and Millowners Arms accept cash or card as normal.
