Prepare to be amazed and come along to Weston Park May Fayre on Sunday 22 May 2022 for a wonderful nostalgic day out with all of your family!

The event is free entry and there will be lots of attractions and entertainment 11am - 5pm to suit all of the family including- carousel, helter-skelter and children’s rides, artisan crafts marquee, Theo the Bear and friends, Star Wars Stormtroopers, art on the bandstand, Board Games Corner, food, bar, stalls and much more… 

The University of Sheffield will once again be presenting some of the very best Sideshow and Street Entertainment around, including:

Dr Phantasma's Sideshow: A wonderfully colourful and dynamic show in traditional sideshow style. See the Pain-proof Man, the Fire King, Miss Elastina and Romana ascending the razor-sharp Ladder of Swords! Performers with amazing acts, for all ages.

Professor Jon’s Flea Circus Show: Itching to perform for you! An enchanting, funny, Barnum style attraction re-creating all the fun of a Victorian Flea Circus. See Bella the Weightlifting Flea, Madame ZaZa on the tightrope, Frederico the Flea Cannonball and more. No real fleas are harmed during this presentation.

The Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band: Performing a repertoire spanning Rajasthani folk songs, Bollywood hits, spiritual qawwali, Bhangra beats. sci-fi and intergalactic funk and even some much loved pop songs. These vividly costumed artists perform the evocative and joyous music that governs life in Rajasthan.

The Maniax: Twice winners of the prestigious ‘Street Show of The Year’ award this is a hilarious, spectacular comedy performance. Based on an amazing Houdini style escape the show is packed with stunts, illusions, music and great comic routines.

TEAM BGee: A celebratory street spectacular that unites two Great British achievements: incredible sporting success and 70’s disco pop from the Isle of Man. Boogie-along with these popular pop icons as they parade and perform their funky love classics. 

Granny Turismo: Meet the World's first – and only! – Shopping Trolley Dance Display Team.  The ladies from Granny Turismo have been delighting audiences since 2009 and are now one of the most talked-about acts around. Fun for all ages.  When these girls arrive on their souped-up shopping trolleys, everyone takes notice. 

Jones and Barnard: A comedy juggling and escapology act, trained on the streets of Covent Garden and seen from The London Palladium to Montreal Comedy Festival, with Sheffield Fright Night in between. They will be entertaining families with their Variety Show and Walkabout.

DJ Booth and the Wheels of Steel: Presenting DJ Booth, Vince Vinyl and the “Wheels of Steel” mobile disco and cabaret. Experience Saturday Night Fever and Sunday Night at the Palladium rolled in to one big glitzy ball of music, mullets, cheesy music and bingo-calling. If it’s cheesy music that you hanker for, don’t miss this act.
