Prepare to expect the unexpected as Coro Amici, a thrilling mixed choir of over 70 voices from West and South Yorkshire, presents a sensational evening of classical music in the magnificent Marble Saloon here at Wentworth Woodhouse.
Led by inspirational musical director Jane Hobson, and recently back from a choral tour to Budapest, the choir will perform a range of classical works infused with jazz influences, including the centerpiece of Missa Latina by Bobbi Fischer – a dazzling fusion of Argentinian tangos, Caribbean rhythms, and Latin jazz. Accompanying the choir will be Kibitz, a vibrant five-piece klezmer band from Leeds, who will also perform their own energetic and soulful Eastern European pieces.
Adult (16+): £30 Child (12+): £15
Doors open at 6.00pm. Performance commences at 7.00pm.
There will be an interval at around 7.40pm and the performance will recommence around 8.10pm.
A bar will be available before the event and during the interval.
Due to the age and nature of the House, some areas are only accessible via stairs and there are some uneven surfaces. A temporary lift provides access to the first-floor for visitors with mobility impairments. There is then a ramp in use down two steps to access the Long Gallery. A staff member or volunteer will accompany visitors using the lift. For queries, contact info@wentworthwoodhouse.org.uk.
