Additional Information

World Seniors Snooker (WSS) was established by the WPBSA in June 2018 to provide opportunities for players over 40 to be able to extend their snooker careers beyond the professional World Snooker Tour.

From the former greats of the professional sport including world champions who have still got the desire to play competitively, to talented amateurs who still crave the opportunity to live their snooker dreams, the WSS Tour provides opportunities for senior players around the world.

Since 2020, tournaments have for the first time also been open to current professional players ranked outside of the world’s top 64, providing a direct link to the World Snooker Tour.

The World Seniors Snooker Championship is the most prestigious event held annually on the WSS Tour and since 2019 has been staged at the iconic Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England.
