Karak Chaii
Karak Chaii is one of the UK’s fastest growing Indian street food restaurant chains.
Karak Chaii’s mouthwatering menu of all day breakfasts, small bites, sandwiches and desserts, takes its inspiration from street food from the Indian subcontinent, as well as beloved family recipes handed down by the co-founders’ late mothers.
It is perfectly complemented by the extensive drinks menu, which includes bubble tea, limbu paani, lassi, falooda, and the company’s signature chaii - a rich and pleasantly spiced desi-brewed tea which took nine months to perfect.
Firm favourites include the Desi Breakfast; Masala Omelette Wrap; Bombay Tikka Sandwich; Butter Chicken and Masala Chips; Lotus Biscoff Milk Cake; and Gulab Jamon Cheesecake.

Launched in Birmingham in 2019 by husband and wife duo Sughir and Sara Javed, Karak Chaii combines the couple’s passion for food, culture and family, while drawing inspiration from Indian subcontinent street food vendors and their combined heritage from Bangladesh and Pakistan.
The journey began when the couple worked tirelessly to craft what Javed calls their "million-dollar cup" of chai. After nine months of meticulous trial and error, the strong, sweet desi tea remains at the heart of their menu.
The company’s success has seen the business scale from its birthplace of Birmingham to 23 stores nationwide, including London, Nottingham, Rugby, Cardiff, and Bolton, with a further 13 new store openings in the pipeline for this year.
