The Gateway Team sits at the heart of Business Sheffield, acting as the first point of contact for new and existing businesses seeking support.
As the gateway into all Business Sheffield services, the team plays a critical role in ensuring businesses are quickly and effectively connected to the right advice, programmes and specialist support.
The team provides a fundamental customer service function, diagnosing enquiries and guiding businesses through the support available across Business Sheffield. This includes directing clients to specialist advisors, workshops, funding opportunities and wider council or partner services, ensuring each business receives the most appropriate support for its needs.
Alongside this frontline role, the Gateway Team supports the delivery of multiple business support programmes, coordinating appointments, workshops and events, and providing essential administrative and operational support to the wider Business Sheffield service.
Their work underpins the smooth running of the service, enabling advisors and programme leads to focus on delivering high‑quality support to businesses.
