Rob King - Business Advisor

Rob has over 15 years’ experience as a qualified Business Support Professional and has delivered business support to a huge number of exciting start-ups in that time.

He previously worked for Business Sheffield and then spent 8 years at Sheffield Hallam University within their start-up team but is now pleased to be back at Business Sheffield. 

With a proven track record in making effective use of research & marketing techniques to develop innovative approaches when starting a business.  Where possible he likes to help businesses apply an ethical & sustainable approach, enabling them to do their bit to be a driving force for positive change where they can.  His skills will help you understand how you can look at your idea, assess its viability to take it forward.  He has previous sales experience and will use this to help your business gain an advantage over competitors. 

As a business start-up advisor, he was part of the Enterprise Team at Sheffield Hallam University, awarded “Outstanding Entrepreneurial University 2021” in The Times HE Awards, for their comprehensive approach in embedding entrepreneurship across the institution, working with a wide range of budding entrepreneurs.

He has previously set up & run his own successful business starting from scratch & this experience has proved invaluable when advising others.
