Wadsley and Loxley Common is an area of managed heathland in the North of Sheffield. It's principle use is by walkers.
Weston Park is located west of the city centre and right next to the main campus buildings of the University of Sheffield and opposite Sheffield Children's Hospital. It is also home to the fantastic Weston Park Museum.
Whinfell Quarry Garden is a hidden gem nestled in the Whirlow area of Sheffield. Originally a flagstone quarry known as Whirlow Quarry, the site was transformed into a lush ornamental garden by Samuel Doncaster, a prominent local businessman, creating a tranquil retreat filled with ponds, winding paths and exotic plants.
Whirlow Brook Park is a district park in the south-west of Sheffield. Those who visit it often comment on its special air of tranquillity and scenic setting. A Friends group was set up in 2021 to help restore the park and the group became a Registered Charity in July 2023.
