2024 promises another huge line-up of exciting events and festivals happening across Sheffield.

From large music festivals and international sporting events to food and drink celebrations, outdoor markets and lots of family fun, see what's happening throughout the year.

A Doll's House (Crucible Theatre)

A new Sheffield Theatre's production of Henrik Ibsen’s powerful drama, directed by Elin Schofield and adapted by Olivier award winner Chris Bush. Showing in the Crucible 21 September - 12 October.

Off The Shelf Festival of Words 2024

Sheffield's annual festival celebrating books, words and ideas, is one of the UK’s largest literary festivals. Taking place 7 October - 3 November, the festival will be bringing some of the biggest names in literary talent, media and the arts to South Yorkshire.

No Bounds 2024

No Bounds is thrilled to announce their 7th edition this year to be held across 11 venues in the heart of Sheffield & Rotherham, 11 - 13 October.

Steel City Beer and Cider Festival 2024

The annual beer and cider festival hosted by the Campaign for Real Ale in Sheffield, offers a massive selection of the best beer, cider and perry, plus live music and street food. They'll be back at Kelham Island Museum again 16 - 19 October.

Out of this World 2024

Taking place across numerous outdoor locations in Sheffield City Centre on Sunday 27 October, this FREE to attend event is for anyone who enjoys sci-fi, comic books, gaming, magic, illusion, Halloween and all things spooky.

Celluloid Screams 2024

Sheffield's annual Horror Film Festival, celebrating the best in classic and contemporary horror cinema! Celluloid Screams will host another weekend of big screen scares at the Showroom Cinema 24 - 27 October.

Illuminate The Gardens 2024

Illuminate the Gardens is a fireworks and lighting extravaganza that takes place over several nights at Sheffield's stunning Botanical Gardens, around the weekend of Bonfire Night. This years event will be 1- 3 November.

Autumn Lights at Don Valley Bowl

Autumn Lights returns to Don Valley Bowl for their fireworks fiesta on Bonfire Night Tuesday 5 November. Alongside Sheffield's biggest fireworks display, there will live music, DJ, fire/ light performers, laser shows, fun fair and street food.

Yorkshire Artspace Open Studios 2024

Visit the creative workspaces of some of the best contemporary artists and craftspeople in the region. Join Yorkshire Artspace for their annual Open Studios showcase at Persistence Works and Exchange Place Studios 16 - 17 November,

Look Up!

Look Up is turning the rooftops of some of Sheffield's most iconic buildings into a FREE, augmented reality art gallery.

Fans of Pokemon Go will love this! Simply download the app (available for IOS and Android) and head out to one of four locations in the city centre where you'll find a Look Up portal, Scan the QR code and then wait for the magic to happen.
