Sheffield Home of Football - Football's Historic City Centre - Guided Walk
Starting on West Bar this tour paints a picture of life in Sheffield in the 186os and a chance to see the site of Youdan's Surrey Theatre. Youdan was the instigator of the Youdan Football Cup (Guinness Book of Records recognised World’s first ever knockout football tournament). The tour then take a stroll through Campo Lane, East Parade, Norfolk Row, Tudor Square, Surrey Street, Howard Street, and Arundell Street. Finishing at Butcher Works on Arundell Street where you will hear about the origins of Women's football in Sheffield and the inevitable move towards professional game, with it's roots firmly in Sheffield.
