Make the most of your time in Sheffield

Every year, we love the buzz that the World Snooker Championships brings to Sheffield and the visitors that come from far and wide.

So, if you’re one of those visitors experiencing our city for the first time and are interested in exploring a little beyond the Crucible, we’ve pulled together some top tips to help you with that.

The Head of Steam

Once the Sheffield & Hallamshire Savings Bank, this stunning venue sits proudly in the centre of Sheffield right on Tudor Square where you’ll find the theatres, the Sheffield Winter Garden and the Millennium Gallery.

Triple Point Brewery & Bar

Triple Point Brewery is one of Sheffield’s must‑visit indie breweries, just minutes from the city centre and train station. They brew award‑winning vegan and gluten‑free craft beer on site, served fresh in their taproom where “the beer comes first.”

Dog & Partridge

The Dog & Partridge is a cosy, dog friendly, Free House in Sheffield city centre with a large selection of Irish whiskeys, spirits, cask ales and craft beers available.

Fagan's

Fagan's, formerly the Barrel Inn, is one of the oldest licensed premises in Sheffield, and is known across the World for it's traditional music sessions.

Vocation & Co. Sheffield

Vocation & Co. Sheffield is so called because they’re all about working with others. They are an extension of their brewery and are warm, social spaces for our local communities.

Perch Brewhouse

This Sheffield based brew-pub is the tap room of the Dead Parrot brewery featuring their beers and guests beers.

Industry Tap

Tap bar and bottle shop, Industry Tap pride themselves on providing a wide variety of excellent craft beers, with 21 lines showcasing rotating guest brews from Sheffield and beyond.

The Old Shoe

HowSt

Straight up the hill from the train station, opposite Hallam University central campus, sits How St. They make everything fresh from local produce, and have a lovely outdoor terrace where you can spend plenty of time supping on a coffee while you watch folks wander past.

Albie's Coffee

Albie's Coffee is an independent coffee company built from their neighbourhood shop. They pride themselves on a friendly welcome and quality brews.

Steam Yard

Located along one of Sheffield’s liveliest indie districts, Steam Yard has a cool atmosphere and great outdoor seating area.

2323

2323 is a multi-roaster speciality coffee shop and is owned by Joe Anderton and Lauren Briggs. Located on Norfolk Row, they offer a unique and personalised coffee experience.

Mow's Coffee

Mow's Coffee is a little inner city independent coffee hangout at the front of Laundry for Hair at Sellers Wheel, serving up excellent coffee and anytime eating seven days a week.

Sheffield Plate
