This year marks 30 years of Sheffield Futures supporting young people across the city – a milestone the organisation is incredibly proud of. Since 1995, Sheffield Futures has been there through the highs and lows, offering guidance, opportunity, and a safe space for thousands of young people to thrive.

The organisation takes a person-centred approach, tailoring support to the individual needs of each young person who walks through the door, ensuring they feel understood and listened to.

Over the past three decades, Sheffield Futures has grown and adapted alongside the needs of Sheffield’s youth – from careers advice and mentoring to wellbeing and mental health support through Door 43. Today, the organisation supports over 4,000 young people each year, helping them feel seen, heard, and hopeful about the future.

In a recent feedback survey, all respondents said they felt heard and that their concerns were taken seriously – a result Sheffield Futures is very proud of.

To mark this milestone, Sheffield Futures is opening the doors of Star House to celebrate 30 years of empowering young people in Sheffield – and everyone is invited. The Community Celebration Day takes place on Thursday 28th August, from 11am to 4pm at Star House on Division Street.

This event is not just a celebration of Sheffield Futures’ work – it’s an important occasion for the wider community. Youth services from across Sheffield will be in attendance, sharing the support they offer to young people, parents, and carers.

By bringing these services together under one roof, the event aims to raise awareness of the help available and make it easier for people to find the information and contacts they need.

Whether attendees are young people, parents, professionals, or curious locals, there will be something for everyone. Sheffield Futures looks forward to celebrating three decades of making a difference.
