Do you have family recipes written on scraps of paper that are in danger of being lost? Do you love cooking and want to share that joy with others? Or maybe you're a foodie and want to share your love of good food with others?
In this workshop, you'll explore how we think about food writing, including what forms this can take, and how readers connect with an author through food/cookery writing. Through varied activities, including looking at powerful examples of food writing, writing from prompts, and other creative exercises, you'll engage with both the practical and emotional elements of great food writing and share the pleasure of this genre, particularly at a time of year renowned for toxic diet culture.
Who knows? Maybe you'll be inspired to begin creating a cookbook or food blog of your own!
