This workshop explains the rights available to businesses and how you can use them to your advantage. The benefits intellectual property rights can give are more than just protection to your ideas. They can also impact taxation and even immigration.
We will go through patents, trade marks, designs, copyright, and more. It will be explained what each right does and how to get them.
The requirements can be surprisingly low, especially for patents where people think inventions need to be a big leap. We hope to leave you informed, surprised, and thinking “I can patent that?!”.
Date: Thursday, 20 November
Time: 10am - 12pm
Venue: Electric Works, 3 Concourse Way, Sheffield City Centre, Sheffield S1 2BJ
**Please only sign up to one of our events if you are definitely planning to attend. Spaces are limited and we want to make sure the businesses that really want this support get it.
If you can’t make an event, it’s no problem as long as you let us know before the workshop. If you sign-up and don’t attend an event, we will contact you afterwards to check in and if this happens more than once, it will jeopardise your ability to sign up to future events.**
