London-based Polish guitarist and composer Jakub Klimiuk brings his quintet to Sheffield Jazz with a new set of material, a follow-up to the critically acclaimed album ‘(un)balanced’.
The band has appeared regularly at major UK jazz venues including Pizza Express Soho, Vortex Jazz and The Verdict and collaborated with leading artists such as saxophonist Mark Lockheart. They have also toured widely across Europe, performing in cultural hubs like Berlin and Brussels.
Expect a thrilling combination of scripted forms and improvised sections, interweaving melodic compositions with adventurous sonic explorations, “music which could engage and transcend genre boundaries,” according to UK Jazz News.
