NVM Festive Social

On Thursday 11th December, guests are invited to enjoy a festive evening of games, gifts, and crafting at the National Videogame Museum. Attendees can get hands-on with Power-Up Pals, a videogame-inspired bauble workshop led by Sheffield illustrator Tom J Newell. Participants will draw influence from his bold style to create a special gift for friends, family, or themselves.

Throughout the evening, visitors can drop into the Christmas Card workshop and design a one-of-a-kind festive card using LEGO pixel art printing. The Mini Makers Market will offer unique, handmade gifts ranging from Pokémon cross-stitch to space-invader-inspired jewellery. The Museum shop will feature popular items such as Gang Beast plushies, Monument Valley prints, and a variety of gift card options—perfect for every gamer.

The gallery will remain fully open and playable during the event, providing plenty of friendly competition across retro arcade classics and modern favourites. Guests can also take part in the exclusive Super Snowball Fight Party high-score challenge to see how many snowballs they can land on friends. Festive drinks will be available from the pop-up bar, making this a perfect way to celebrate the season the NVM way.
