The Matter of Migration

Discover new perspectives on migration at an arts project beginning a symbolic journey across Sheffield communities.

The Matter of Migration, combining a fascinating podcast within an immersive installation, is heading to Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre from January 22-28th.

It is free to visit.

Created by Frontier Media and Arts on the Run with designer Liz Von Graevenitz, the project will take themed episodes into four more communities in Sheffield.

The podcasts feature a diverse mix of participants, who discuss their own personal journeys to South Yorkshire as well as issues surrounding cultural expression, community and identity.

The Matter of Migration is funded by Arts Council England, Sheffield Council’s Community Cohesion and Resilience Programme, and Sheffield Town Trust.

It will tour other Sheffield venues later this year.
