About The Economic Recovery Fund in Sheffield

The Economic Recovery Fund supported local businesses and organisations to get people visiting and spending money in their neighbourhoods. That meant anything from delivering events for businesses to connect with customers; creating exciting new features to draw people in; making the high street a nicer place to spend time; or something completely different. Solutions are designed by local people for local people, using their insight into what would work on their high street.

Theatre

Sheffield has the second largest theatre complex in the country after London - and we have a number of productions which have gone south to the capital as well as across the pond, such as Everybody's Talking About Jamie, The Life of Pi, and Standing At The Sky's Edge.

Look Up AR art trail

Look Up is a free, immersive public art trail occupying the rooftops of four notable Sheffield buildings. It's an experience for everyone to enjoy, created by Sheffield companies, artists, studios and producers, truly showcasing what Sheffield makes.

Stein Haus (formally The Original Bierkeller) is an authentic Bavarian Beerhall, offering an unrivalled selection of the best beers, home-cooked German inspired food, live Oompah bands and Lederhosen aplenty.

Stancill Brewery & tours

We are an independent micro-brewery based in Sheffield, producing a suite of award-winning real ales, our premium Stancill Pilsner the original Sheffield lager and a growing range of expertly developed craft beers. 

Then and Now - A Joe Scarborough Exhibition

Then and Now is an art exhibition celebrating Joe’s original paintings from the 1960s to present day, from his first ventures into oil painting with maritime subjects to his most recent collections of smaller works in oil and watercolours.

Wortley Top Forge Industrial Museum

Top Forge is a Water Powered Heavy Iron Forge whose history can be traced back to at least 1640. Exhibits at Top Forge include the original water wheels and water-powered drop hammers within the original Forge building which is progressively being restored to 1900s condition. All three Water Wheels can be run subject to the conditions.
