The Leadmill is Sheffield’s longest running live music venue and nightclub. It first opened its doors in 1980 and has been a creative hub in Sheffield for nearly 40 years, home to live music, club events, theatre, comedy & film screenings.
The Cross Scythes is a well loved pub with locals (and has won several awards) but is also an ideal spot for exploring the Peak District as it sits literally right on the edge of Blackamoor and the city, and they have a few homely rooms that you can spend a few nights in. Local beer, a varied and accommodating menu and plenty of space make it a great choice for groups and families.
The global electronic music scene was valued at $11.8b in 2023, projected to rise to $24.5 by 2032. The influence of electronic music on popular culture in the UK has been well documented to have been inspired by Sheffield in the late 70s and early 80s, and still today Sheffield artists, performers, producers and festivals are at the forefront of pioneering how the industry develops and people hear new sounds and have unforgettable experiences.

The Arena in the Attercliffe area of Sheffield hosts the worlds most legendary musical superstars & the world's biggest sporting greats, from trophy winning Sheffield Steelers to boxing world title fights and music performers like Katy Perry and Oasis. The Arena has also hosted some more unusual events, from the likes of Cybermen marching through the audience at Doctor Who The Live Tour to 20 life-sized dinosaurs roaming the Arena floor in Walking With Dinosaurs.
