As a result of the Victorians' hard work and modern investment we now have a lovely, level, traffic free, surfaced trail to be enjoyed while admiring the glorious scenery.
The redeveloped Grade II* Listed Leah’s Yard on Cambridge Street has now opened its doors to the public, providing a contemporary city centre hub for some of Sheffield’s finest independent businesses.

An annual ranking of the Top 25 Cities in the UK (outside of London) for starting a business, the Startups Cities Index is the most exhaustive research project of its kind. Sheffield was revealed as the ultimate winner, thanks to the city’s strong performance across business support, talent attraction, low cost of living, large working population and fantastic transport links.
Given all the hills in Sheffield it’s no surprise that many of our favourite parks find themselves incorporating a steep gradient or two. In these cases, there are some stunning views to enjoy across Sheffield and beyond.
It might come as a surprise to know that The Burbage Valley is technically part of the city of Sheffield (this is one of the many reasons we call ourselves The Outdoor City!). Accessible by bus from Sheffield city centre, Burbage offers a diverse range of gritstone climbing – from friendly routes to boulder problems, and powerful challenging climbs to classic routes.
Sheffield's City Centre is undergoing significant change, but while you may see a few more cranes and building work going on in places, this shouldn't detract from all the amazing places there still are to discover.
