Thanks to the Economic Recovery Fund, we've enjoyed a wealth of creative, dynamic events that have energised our high streets, drawn people together, and boosted support for our local businesses.
Castlegate and Victoria Quays
Thanks to the Grey to Green project, use of meanwhile spaces, and inventive creations from markets to skateboard areas, Castlegate is seeing a total transformation.
The capital of modern manufacturing
The Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District (AMID) spans the border of Sheffield and neighbouring town of Rotherham, and was the first of it's kind in the UK. This 2,000 acre, already decade-old cluster of inventiveness, alongside the world-leading heavy industry and engineering expertise still present in the city, inspires and powers the future of a £200 billion sector in the UK alone.
The Fox House
Located right on the Sheffield boundary, atop Burbage Edge, The Fox House is the ideal base for walkers and explorers. Dating back to 1773, it includes nine characterful rooms, a great menu of seasonal pub food dishes, and a great selection of cask-ales and wines.
