South Yorkshire Launches Tech Welcome Grants

A new grant scheme has been launched designed to attract technology businesses to South Yorkshire, generating more digital jobs and boosting the region's economy. The Tech Welcome Grant, funded by South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, will provide grants of between £5,000 to £10,000 to businesses new to South Yorkshire and start-ups from outside the area to relocate here and create jobs in the region.

A city of ancient woodlands

There are 70 managed ancient woodlands in Sheffield, where you'll walk through trees that have seen the transformation of the city through the industrial years.

DocFest

Widely recognised as one of the best documentary festivals in the world, DocFest has been held in Sheffield annually since 1994. The festival presents a vast programme of film screenings, exhibitions, industry events and more.

The Sheffield Innovation Spine is about essential growth, through increasing capability for existing businesses, and encouraging domestic and foreign direct investment to take up the opportunities the Spine will present in the heart of the iconic and unique Outdoor City of Sheffield.
