ISU European Figure Skating Championships Sheffield 2026

The ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2026 will be in Sheffield, from January 13th to January 18th for an unforgettable week of world-class figure skating. Whether you're a devoted fan or new to the sport, this prestigious event promises electrifying performances from Europe’s best skaters.​​

European Figure Skating Championships Fan Zone

Set up in celebration of the ISU European Figure Skating Championships Sheffield 2026, the City Centre will be transformed this January with a vibrant Fan Zone – complete with a free to use artificial ice rink.

Residents, visitors, and skating enthusiasts will be able to soak up the atmosphere at The European Championships Fan Zone, located in Sheffield's Peace Gardens, 10 -18 January.

Getting to Utilita Arena Sheffield

Bus, tram & walk

SUPERTRAM: The Arena has its very own stop - Arena / Olympic Legacy Park. This tram stop is served by the Yellow Route and Tram Train, both of which bypass the traffic giving you a fast, smooth and reliable way to get to your event. Tram tickets can be bought on board from the conductor, but for better value, buy ahead through the TSY Mobile app

Walk: head along the River Don on the five weirs walk or head along the canal towpath from Victoria Quays.

Getting around the city

Our compact city centre makes walking the natural option. For access to attractions, hotels and the Utilita Arena Sheffield, our state-of-the-art Supertram is visitor friendly and better still, its kind to our environment.  

For unlimited travel across Sheffield, all public transport offers day tickets which can be purchased on board buses (from the driver) or on the trams (from the conductor). There'll be week long tickets available to purchase online and you'll find the details for the buses via this link www.sytravelmaster.com or here for trams.

Car parking

Sheffield City Council operates several surface level car parks and on street parking – parking charges and maximum parking times vary – details can be found here. Privately operated multi storey and surface level car parking is also available across the city centre to give motorists lots of choice. Details (including up to date availability) can be found at en.parkopedia.co.uk/parking/Sheffield/. If you are staying overnight, ask your accommodation provider if they have a discount parking offer with a preferred car parking site.  Remember you'll need to validate your parking ticket for the discount to apply.

Public electric vehicle charge points

There are new rapid electric vehicle chargers in a range of locations across the city. You can find the SCC charge sites here or look at sites such as ZapMap for other locations of most publicly available chargers.

Clean Air Zone

Sheffield now has a Clean Air Zone in Sheffield city centre to help lower emissions and improve air quality. This means that taxis, coaches and goods vehicles that don't meet the emissions standards will have to pay to drive in the city centre. Private cars and motorbikes will not be charged.

Cycle Parking

For anyone cycling into Sheffield, the city offers cycling stands, lockers and pumps across the city centre. Further details can be found here.
