2024 promises another huge line-up of exciting events and festivals happening across Sheffield.

Phlegm: Pandemic Diary

Work by one of Sheffield’s most popular artists, Phlegm is set be celebrated at this new exhibition, running at the Millennium Gallery, Saturday 13 January - Sunday 7 July. Pandemic Diaries showcases a spectacular series of over 60 drawings made throughout the 2020 lockdown.

Festival of Debate 2024

The largest annual non-partisan politics festival in the UK! Expect another challenging and diverse programme of events, featuring an array of well-known keynote speakers, when Festival of Debate returns 16 April — 25 May.

Cazoo World Snooker Championship 2024

Professional snooker's most prestigious tournament and one of Sheffield’s biggest sporting events, the World Championship returns with 32 of snooker’s best players competing in a knockout style tournament, 20 April - 6 May.  

Open Up Sheffield 2024

With 100+ studios taking part, Open Up Sheffield is one of the largest open studio events outside of London and helps showcase some of Sheffield's finest creative talents. This year it will take place over two weekends, 4 May - 6 May & 11 May - 12 May.

Graves Park Country Show

Don’t miss the Graves Park Country Show on Bank Holiday Monday 6 May! A FREE entry event with a ‘country show’ theme and lots to see and do, it's a fantastic day out for all of the family!

World Seniors Snooker Championship 2024

Following straight on from the professional championships, the World Seniors Snooker Championship takes place at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, 8 - 12 May.

Get Together 2024

Now into its fourth year, Get Together has earnt a reputation as one of the best festivals for original and independent music, art, food and drink. For 2024, the festival returns to Kelham Island for another massive music takeover on Saturday 18 May.

Weston Park May Fayre 2024

Prepare to be amazed! and come along to Weston Park May Fayre at Weston Park, Sheffield on Sunday 19 May 2024 for a wonderful nostalgic day out with all of your family.

Sheffield Chamber Music Festival 2024

In 2024, Music in the Round celebrates its 40th anniversary, with the Sheffield Chamber Music Festival set to be a highlight bringing nine sensational days of concerts in the Crucible Playhouse 17 – 25 May 2024.

Sheffield Food Festival 2024

One of the city's largest free to attend events for all the family, the festival is a bustling exhibition of Sheffield’s flourishing food & drink scene, with 90% of the traders taking part, based locally. This year's food festival takes place 25 - 27 May.

Premier League Darts 2024

Premier League Darts returns to Sheffield in 2024, as the Utilita Arena plays host to the final night of league phase action on Thursday 16 May.

Girls Aloud

It's 21 years since Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine, Nicola and Sarah won Popstars: The Rivals and formed the all-conquering legendary pop band. To celebrate this milestone, Girls Aloud will be coming together for a huge arena tour in 2024 and visiting Sheffield on Tuesday 28 May.

Crossed Wires: The Podcast Festival

Set to be podcasting's biggest party! This brand new festival will host the most exciting podcasting talent in Sheffield for three days, 31 May - 2 June, with a lineup of blockbuster lives shows, never-seen-before performances and special guests.

Jazz On The Park

Taking place on Saturday 15 June in Weston Park, Jazz On The Park is Sheffield's brand new charity music and arts festival, in aid of low grade serous ovarian cancer.

The Sherlocks

Join The Sherlocks for an electrifying evening of live music at the iconic Don Valley Bowl with special guests include Red Rum Club, The Clause, Apollo Junction and The Lilacs, joining them on Friday 7 June.

Sheffield DocFest 2024

Following a successful 30th edition of the festival in 2023, Sheffield Docfest returns Wednesday 12 June - Monday 17 June 2024.

Migration Matters Festival 2024

The UK's largest Refugee Week festival, Migration Matters returns to Sheffield 14 - 22 June with another extensive programme of music, comedy, conversation, art, theatre, film and more.

Fan City Sheffield

Get ready for Fan City, the newest fan zone coming to the heart of Sheffield this summer. Not only offering a great match day experience for the Euros 2024, but also live music, family activities and film screenings throughout June/July.

Chariots of Fire

A heart-pounding new production set to a soaring musical score, adapted from the Oscar-winning movie by Mike Bartlett and directed by Robert Hastie - see Chariots of Fire on the Crucible stage in Sheffield, 6 - 27 July.

Sheffield Pinknic 2024

Sheffield's biggest LGBTQ+ event, Pinknic is back in the Peace Gardens for 2023, taking place on Saturday 13 July, with a host of live music, entertainment and stalls.

Sheffield Grand Prix 2024

Bringing competitive cycling back to the streets of Sheffield's city centre , Sheffield Grand Prix is back on Wednesday 17 July. The event will once again be part of the British Cycling National Circuit Race Series, attracting the UK’s top teams and riders.

Bassfest 2024

Bringing some of the biggest names in bass for a weekend of high-octane partying, Bassfest returns to Sheffield's Don Valley Bowl 20 - 21 July.

Tramlines 2024

Sheffield’s biggest party! Tramlines returns to Hillsborough Park 26 -28 July for their 16th edition.

Sheffield Fayre 2024

Celebrating its 21st year! A fantastic day out for all of the family in one of Sheffield’s most wonderful parks, Sheffield Fayre returns on Bank Holiday Monday 26 August 2024.

Rock N Roll Circus 2024

Expect the unexpected as the Rock N Roll Circus return's to Sheffield's Don Valley Bowl in Summer 2024! Taking place over the weekend of 29 - 31 August, the 2024 lineup includes Richard Hawley, Becky Hill and Milburn, along with a whole load of amazing support acts.

Art in the Gardens

Taking place Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September 2024 in Sheffield's stunning Botanical Gardens, Art in the Gardens is one of the largest outdoor art markets in the North of England, with artists, craft makers and visitors coming from across the UK.

Sheffield Heritage Open Days 2024

Part of the nationwide celebrations, Sheffield’s biggest festival of heritage and culture takes place between 6 - 15 September with over 100 FREE tours, walks, exhibitions and events.

Sheffield 10K 2024

Sheffield 10K is set to take place on Sunday 22 September, with thousands of runners of all abilities taking part. 

Float Along Festival 2024

Back for their third year, Float Along festival makes a welcome return to Sheffield on Saturday 28 September, with another encompassing mix of post-punk and psychedelic rock, as well as the best in indie and alternative music.

Sensoria 2024

A celebration of a city and its music, film, art and electronica, Sensoria festival's 17th edition will once again bring live events and exhibitions to iconic venues across Sheffield, 3 - 6 October.

Les Misérables - The Arena Spectacular

Les Misérables - The Arena Spectacular embarks on a World Tour from September 2024, opening with a strictly limited run of UK dates, that will bring this beloved musical phenomenon to Sheffield's Utilita Arena 10 - 13 October.

Steel City Beer and Cider Festival 2024

The annual beer and cider festival hosted by the Campaign for Real Ale in Sheffield, offers a massive selection of the best beer, cider and perry, plus live music and street food. They'll be back at Kelham Island Museum again 16 - 19 October.

Celluloid Screams 2024

Sheffield's annual Horror Film Festival, celebrating the best in classic and contemporary horror cinema! Celluloid Screams will host another weekend of big screen scares at the Showroom Cinema 24 - 27 October.

Autumn Lights at Don Valley Bowl

Autumn Lights returns to Don Valley Bowl for their fireworks fiesta on Bonfire Night Tuesday 5 November. Alongside Sheffield's biggest fireworks display, there will live music, DJ, fire/ light performers, laser shows, fun fair and street food.
