Sheffield Buddhist Centre

Sheffield Buddhist Centre is run by members of the Triratna Buddhist Order who work to bring the benefits of Buddhist practice to people in the Sheffield area.

Additional Information

The Triratna Buddhist Community was started in 1968 by Sangharakshita, an Englishman who had practiced as a Buddhist monk in the East for 20 years before bringing Buddhism to the West. It is an non-sectarian movement, aligned to no one traditional school, but drawing on the whole stream of Buddhist inspiration.
People of all sorts can benefit from Buddhist practice and this lively Centre is used by hundreds of people, young and old, from Sheffield and the surrounding area.
