From Opera to Recital, Baroque to World Premieres, Roderick Williams OBE is in constant demand worldwide for his rich and nuanced baritone voice and for commissioned compositions.

In addition to a wonderful voice, he has a relaxed and engaging presence which reaches out to the audience and the Bradfield Festival of Music are delighted to have him perform in Bradfield.

The Grammy award winning Christopher Glynn has accompanied Roderick Williams on numerous occasions in live performance and in recordings.

Christopher has a sensitive style which goes hand in hand with Roderick’s rich and subtly nuanced baritone voice.

Together they will perform a programme of works by English, Scottish and Irish poets set to music by British and Irish composers as well as traditional folk songs.

The programme will include John Ireland: Summer Schemes, We’ll to the woods no more, Sea Fever, The Vagabond. Rebecca Clarke: Down by the Salley Gardens, The Cloths of Heaven, The Seal Man. Ina Boyle: A Song of Enchantment. Joan Trimble: Green Rain, My grief on the sea (from the Irish) Charles Wood: I’d roam the world over with you (anon.) Ivor Gurney: The Salley Gardens Michael Head: Tewkesbury Road Freya Waley-Cohen: The Moon, the Moss and the Mushrooms Ralph Vaughan Williams: The Songs of Travel, The Vagabond.
