Since opening in 2016, this urban restaurant influenced by nature, has been busy wowing food critics and customers alike, garnering awards and is consistently ranked amongst the best restaurants in the country via the likes of the The Good Food Guide and Michelin Guide.
Headed up by owners husband & wife, Chef Director Luke French & Managing Director Stacey Sherwood-French, the JÖRO philosophy is that they want to offer a relaxed and accessible dining experience, one that they would enjoy themselves.
Their forward-thinking small plates and tasting menus have flavour-packed cooking as the focus, with a choice of 5, 8 and 10 course menus available and incorporating flavours from Asia, South America and China melded with ingredients sourced closer to home, including British seafood and meat.
The restaurant is designed as an open plan dining room, with just 8 tables creating an immersive experience where guests share in the buzz of the kitchen and their complete passion for food.
You'll find JÖRO in a complex made entirely from upcycled shipping containers on the ground floor of Krynkl in Kelham Island.
As JÖRO use only the very best quality of seasonal and sustainable ingredients, locally-sourced wherever possible, so menus are subject to daily changes.
The wine and drinks menu is also built around a love of flavours, featuring wines from around the world with a focus on small independent wineries, sustainable practices and showcasing lesser known grape varieties.
Sake, beer, cider, spirits, cocktails and their own foraged selection of juices/cordials all feature and change regularly, in line with the seasons and produce in the kitchen. Optional drinks pairings are available to complement the food menu.
There is no dress code, allowing for a comfortable experience and welcoming guests of all ages.
