Alto

Alto is a late night bar with a roof terrace in the centre of Sheffield. It's on top of the Cubo shared workspace, meaning it gets pretty lively after working hours.

Bal Fashions

It was once a clothes shop but then it got morphed into a hybrid between a bar, night club, events space, and general meeting space in Castlegate area. When they go big, it last until the morning, and you'll find an eclectic crowd sticking it out 'til the end with some of the best dance and underground music in the scene.

Bamboo Door

Sheffield’s First Tiki Bar was born in April 2014, but it's constantly evolving as they find (and get given by customers!) more and more tiki artefacts from around the world. The cocktail menu is always being revised, but if you fancy something different just ask the tiki monkeys and they will guide you to your perfect drink!

Bungalows & Bears

One of Sheffield's unique strangely-named places, Bungalows and Bears has been a staple for good food, good drink and good music for over a decade. Housed in an Old Fire Station, this unique building has seen all manner of events, with a previous guest-list featuring everything from Swedish rappers to world renowned DJ Talent.

Church - Temple of Fun

Church is Sheffield's first arcade bar, inspired by South American religious iconography, with a 100% vegan bar and food menu.

Crookes Social Club

This social club in Crookes plays host to a variety of different music and themed nights, with a great eclectic crowd including students and local residents.

Cubana Tapas Bar

Sample authentic Cuban ambience & welcoming Latino vibes at one of Sheffield's most well known establishments, that provides great food but also live music and dancing.

Delicious Clam

Operating as a label, practice room and small gig space from their Castle Market headquarters, they fuel the fire of Sheffield’s alternative scene, and also explore new territories, from stand-up to brilliantly daft club nights.

DINA

DINA is an independent, inclusive and innovative art organisation for Sheffield and beyond. They host all types of events, and are also a hub for the LGBTQ+ community, hosting weekly meet-ups, drag shows & other events.

Dryad Works

Factory Floor

A fantastic old industrial space brought to you by the team behind Peddler Market, Factory Floor is all about taste, flavour and experimentation. 

Fewer Than One

A warehouse venue that has been in the scene for as long as folks have been partying, Fewer Than One is the current incarnation of this historic venue that hosts some of the best underground dance DJs in the business and creates legendary nights.

Gatsby

It's a night time snug with a truly vast liquor range. It's a weekend party bar with the best music and 3am license. The kitchen serves up seasonal small plates from all over the globe, with an emphasis on homemade ingredients, bold flavours and buying local.

Gut Level

Gut Level is a not-for-profit DIY music and community space. It’s important that everybody who comes here feels welcomed, comfortable, free to express themselves and ultimately, has a great time! They focus on dance music, club culture and the surrounding communities, and are based in a Grade II listed ex-cutlery works on Snow Lane in Shalesmoor.

Hagglers Corner

A community of 10 independent businesses, nestled around a vibrant courtyard & mezzanine, Hagglers is a bit of a Sheffield institution.

Hope Works

Hope Works plays host to some of the best and most experimental electronic music on an incredible bespoke sound system and is the base of operations for No Bounds Festival, curated and produced by Lo Shea who also programs Hope Works all year round.

Leadmill

The Leadmill is Sheffield’s longest running live music venue and nightclub. It first opened its doors in 1980 and has been a creative hub in Sheffield for nearly 40 years. It has been voted as Sheffield’s best live music venue on numerous occasions and has also won national awards including from the NME and Live UK. Home to live music, club events, theatre, comedy & film screenings.

Mr Wilson's & Capone's Speakeasy

Whether you’re looking for an evening of contemporary luxury, or wanting to head back to the 1920s, Mr Wilson has prepared something for everyone.

A live music and club venue in the city centre, programming an eclectic mix of indie, electronic, dance and all other types of genres - but always keeping you on your toes.

Peddler

The first Friday & Saturday of every month, Peddler showcase a fresh line-up of Britain's best street food traders, alongside top-notch craft beers, freshly made cocktails, live music and art. All this inside the 7,500 sq.ft ex-industrial warehouse that is 92 Burton Rd and spilling out into its gritty, cobbled courtyard. Tasty.

Picture House Social

Down the stairs, under the old Abbeydale Picture House building, you'll find a bar, canteen, rear terrace, Shuffle Shack and live music venue.

Piña

Piña was inspired by a trip in 2016 to Mexico that took in everything from Jalisco to Michoacan, Oaxaca to Mexico City, and plenty in between. They experienced first-hand the amazing cuisine and food culture across Mexico and just had to bring it back.

Plot 22

Plot 22 is a multi-purpose creative space situated in the heart of the Castlegate district of Sheffield in the old Castle Market. Managed by social enterprise RiteTrax, the space is a hub of grassroots and underground creative culture in Sheffield.

Public

Public is quite simply stunning. Occupying the former gent’s toilet below the grade-1 listed Victorian town hall, Public is a tiny haven of fine drinks and delicious food - or as it was once described: ‘A Wes Anderson train carriage crowbarred in to an old bog’.

Record Junkee

Record Junkee is a fiercely independent 150 capacity venue, bar and official chart registered record store situated on Earl St in the heart of the city. It embraces the inclusive ethos that bred the best acts from the city’s past. From original Bassline to Post Punk and back again; all styles are served as the store caters equally to the burgeoning collector and the old school vinyl head alike.

Sidney & Matilda

Where Brooklyn meets Berlin in Sheffield's creative quarter. Sidney and Matilda is a warehouse, basement, and courtyard orientated music and event venue, that has shined new neon red light on an abandoned industrial district.

Tank

Tank is Sheffield's underground house, tech & bass venue, putting on legendary nights (as well as the even more legendary annual Bassfest). They put on a number of regular nights and are based in the city centre.

The Cremorne

The Cremorne, London Road, is an early nineteenth century pub. As a former coaching house, the pub features a gated archway to the side and more buildings to the rear. It is 300 metres from Bramall Lane. A busy, friendly pub at the heart of London Road with a great range of real ales and drinks as well as fab pizzas. They also have a load of live music, open mic nights, and general late night revelry.

The Foundry

The Foundry is a 3 room club, music and event space inside the University of Sheffield Students' Union. They have regular club nights like The Tuesday Club, but also host festivals such as Get Together and other gigs and events.

The Green Room

One of Sheffield's many independent bars on Division Street in the centre of town, The Green Room is a weekend staple but with plenty happening in the week too. Great drinks, food and music, in a laid back atmosphere.

The Greystones

The Greystones is a welcoming, traditional community pub where people of all ages can enjoy a great range of drinks in comfortable surroundings, as well as see fantastic music and other events.

The Washington

The Washington is one of the spiritual homes of Sheffield’s music scene. Through the years they’ve all passed through; drinking, performing and perhaps even working behind the bar. From the glory years of The Limit when Pulp would meet there, to intimate gigs from Wet Nuns, The Washington has seen it all - and you will too if you visit.

The Wick at Both Ends

By day, The Wick is a safe haven, an entity of calm in the middle of a lively and fast-paced city - and at night it's a great place to meet the locals, soak up the vibes, and even have a boogie.

West Street Live

West Street Live is a late night, live music venue and bar in Sheffield, open 7 days a week.

Yellow Arch

Most famously known as the birthplace of the Arctic Monkeys, Yellow Arch has been operating successfully for many years as a recording studio, equipment hire, teaching studio, band rehearsal facility and gig and party venue. It has established a great reputation as a key player in the music industry, both in Sheffield and further afield.

X
